A/B Testing with Zarget
For the last 14 months i was using Optimizely for A/B-Tests on our project www.gusti-leather.com — but there were several annoying things. Soon i found zarget.com on ProductHunt. I tried some stuff with it for several months and today we decided to replace Optimizely with Zarget. Why?
The most important thing has been for me the editor. It’s a chrome extension, that makes editing the variations very fast and intuitive. I always had big problems with Optimizely, but Zarget did completely change this. You can get the extension right here. (Unfortunately they dont have a video showing their extension in action - ZargetHQ or do you?)
The next great feature is the heat map. But this is the point, where the problems are also starting. This feature only makes sense if you have just one site that you have changed. In our case, we change all of our 1.500 product sites at once. Maybe we are not part of the target group for Zarget, right now and they are more focussed on content pages.
But you can still implement something like we do. Because you can do a regex match for the URL.
Also, the UI is very clean, but sometimes more confusing, but i already had the experience, that things get better with time.
